One of our last dreamcatcher section was about fairytales, and if there is someone who knows how to create fairytale scenarios that's Tim Walker. No wonder, this british photographer learned from the bests: prior to university he worked in Cecil Beaton archive and after university Tim moved from London to New York to work as Richard Avedon's full time assistant.

At age 25 he shot his first fashion story for Vogue and he has charmed us with his pictures ever since. He says he chose fashion photography because is the only one that allows him to go beyond reality and create fantasy worlds. His pictures might look familiar to you, he is a usual photographer for the British, Italian, and American editions of VOGUE.

It might sound ironic, but Tim declares that although he likes to create these sureal atmospheres he never uses artificial light or retouches pictures. His wonderful pitches are the result of hard work, it can take up to 2 months to create one of the scenarios, 2 weeks to prepare the shooting and 3 days to take the pictures. He knows the best pictures are always shot on the third day, because it's when everyone is more relaxed and the model knows what the story is and knows what's the feeling, it's the most magical day.
